Donald Lee Perdue, founder of Perdue Insurance Agency, built his career on hard work, faith, and a genuine commitment to serving people. Born and raised in El Paso, Texas, Donald moved to Austin in 1982 at the age of 28, ready to build a life rooted in opportunity, family, and community.
He began his professional journey working as a sheet metal journeyman, spending 11 years in the trade from 1975 to 1985. While he valued the discipline and work ethic the industry taught him, Donald felt called to a career where he could work more directly with people and make a lasting impact in their lives.
In 1985, he entered the insurance industry as an agent and quickly discovered a passion for helping individuals and families protect what matters most. After more than a decade of experience, Donald followed his entrepreneurial spirit and founded Perdue Insurance Agency in September 1996. What started as a vision to serve others through honest guidance and dependable service has grown into a trusted agency that has served the community for more than 30 years.
Donald built the agency around a simple philosophy he still lives by today: “Take care of the clients, and God will take care of the rest.” That belief has guided every relationship, decision, and opportunity throughout his career.
Donald is deeply grateful for the love and support of his wife, Flabia Perdue, who has been by his side through every chapter of the journey. Their partnership and shared faith have been a constant source of strength and encouragement.
Outside of the office, Donald enjoys restoring vintage cars, riding his Harley-Davidson, fishing, hunting, and spending quality time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He is also a National Officer of the Least of Saints, a Christian motorcycle club that reflects his passion for faith-driven fellowship and brotherhood.
Donald lives with a deep sense of gratitude and purpose. Through perseverance, courage, and faith, he has built more than a successful business—he has built a legacy rooted in trust, service, and strong values. Today, those same values continue to guide Perdue Insurance Agency, ensuring that Donald’s commitment to people and community will carry on for years to come.
